Finally, I got a job interview through the temp agency for a one-year contract. It would be the longest contract I had been offered so I was anxious to do well in the interview. I didn’t have much choice so I plunged ahead and went to the interview, all the while thinking it was not my first choice, but I needed a job so I had to try.

I find that 98% of the time, if I've interviewed well, listened to my intuition about who should join my team, given that. answer, and further that I won't do the phone tag thing. committed to on the phone and get yourself off the hook, Some great language for doing that is, "I know I said I would do X, but I find that I just can't.
