One is the easier way, where you download a file; the other is the longer way. The reason I use the latter method is because our company policy is that we cant download any software that IT doesnt approve. To back up your e-mails in Outlook, simply download Microsofts Outlook Add-In file here.

Heres a link to download a copy of the sign , if youre interested. The easiest way to avoid this is to create a "Do Not Disturb" sign and place it somewhere on your cubicle that can be seen clearly. Many of my colleagues have used this method and I have never seen anyone complain, from either side.

If you receive a file that was written in the Microsoft Office 2007 format, you can download the patch called Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats. The only downfall was that if you accidentally sent the client a Microsoft Excel XP version, they wouldnt be able to open it.

A template can be downloaded here. Make sure to provide feedback (positive and/or negative) so that everyone can obtain ideas from what is being said. After the meeting, provide a copy of the meeting minutes to everyone involved in the meeting. You will notice that your meetings will run much smoother once you apply these methods.

It allows us to easily email branded invoices to our clients, which they can then pay by mail or online. By recording payments as we receive them, we can just as easily monitor overdue payments and send email reminders. I sit in my car and check my email. We can also generate reports to track our income. You won't regret it.

I already owned a cell phone number, had an assigned IP Telephony work phone and fax number, a home number, and I used assigned phone numbers when I was at client sites. Tame Your Email 1. Turn off email alerts when emails arrive in your inbox. If you know that you will never answer an email, delete it right away. Create email folders same as you would for word doc and paper files. Examples: If you have a full email box, then schedule an hour each morning to tackle it.
