If you want to reduce the stress associated with the holiday season, get an early start on holiday planning. Then December comes along and your stress level is higher than a mountain climber hanging off a cliff by his fingertips. To reduce holiday stress this year, create a holiday checklist to make the season go smoothly.

The people leader role can also be stressful. Burnout is a state of physical, mental or emotional exhaustion caused by long-term exposure to stress. As well, it’s always a good idea to budget more time and resources to a project than you think is necessary to lessen the stress of unexpected setbacks. Set boundaries.
In their book, Listen Up : How To Improve Relationships, Reduce Stress , Barker and Watson say that trying to top the other person’s story is one of those irritating habits that interferes with our ability to listen well. The fellow with the peg leg says to the other, “That’s nothing, let me tell you how I got this.”
Emotional blocks – boredom, daydreaming, stress, guilt, anger and frustration reduce concentration. When you enjoy what you are doing, it reduces stress. When stress is reduced, you work more efficiently. Switching and floundering – lack of concentration and focus on one job. Use priority lists to focus attention.
Don’t let the stresses of life control you. If you’re not eating properly, or your muscles are tight from too much time in one position, or your stress level is rising, your productivity will decrease. Take a 10 minute nap or a short walk to relieve stress. You need to take control of your life. Take a break.
Another point I would like to stress is to archive your e-mails for a certain period of time that either you or your company feels would be appropriate. You never know when someone would come back to you and tell you that they didn’t ask you to do a certain task. At least you will have proof of it.
Trust me, it can be very stressful! No matter which type of firm you choose, make sure that it’s a perfect fit for you and your employer. You don’t want to end up looking for another job. With technology, it’s easy for people to fling out emails from their phones after hours. Try to clean up any clutter (and enlist others to help with this!)
However, many people run around stressed because they’re saying yes to everybody but themselves. Even if we can use this word with our spouse and children, we still have a hard time saying it to other people. It’s important to learn how and when to say no. I’m not saying that you should be selfish and never help anybody out.
Work on difficult jobs first, or at a time when you’re at peak performance, saving the less stressful tasks for when you have less energy. In my particular field (Publishing), it can be very stressful when your boss asks you to fax something right away, since the time difference is substantial at times and you need to figure out how to decipher a fax number. Through employee attitude surveys, focus groups and pilot tests, senior management know that employees with lower work-family conflict have less stress and anxiety about “doing it all&# and are better able to focus on their jobs and their customers. It won’t work for jobs with direct customer contact. The employee will give more.

Time management is about getting results, not about being busy. The intellectual – learning and knowledge growth and management. The career – your calling and work.

I want to implement a manual so that it might make things easier and more consistent for all of the assistants in the town. My response to this is: Wow, you are doing the work of 3 people?
