The wholesale marketplace Faire raised $100 million while the wholesale and licensing business Minted said they raised $208 million. Both firms connect retailers, who are often small independents, with small and solopreneur maker businesses.
Using figures of speech in our business writing makes it fun for us and entertaining for our readers. Truly my favorite figure of speech is the chiasmus (ky-AZ-mus). That’s when words in a sentence mirror each other. Politicians have made them famous (e.g., Ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. – John F. Kennedy).

Of course, before we dive into gifting ideas you'll need to make the decision whether or not you're going to give your clients gifts.

I purposely make it short and cut out the fluff so you won’t want to turn it off.
When it comes to speed, internet users are divided into 3 major camps: people who think they need the fastest internet, people who don’t think they need much internet speed, and people who have no idea what they need. People who know how to measure internet speeds and performance will have multiple tools available and experience to rely on, but what if you’re just trying to make the right purchase without any formal training?

I like to set a rule for the messages I receive from my boss. I have a new boss so had to figure out how to do this again and thought I should just write it down for the benefit of anyone else who may need it or for myself for the next time. I want any emails sent from my boss to go into a special folder. I also want it to make a sound when the email arrives.
In the climb from contributor to leader, the rules quietly change. If you’re aiming for the summit, the air gets thinner—and what got you here won’t be enough to get you to the top (a concept first popularized by Marshall Goldsmith in his book What Got You Here Won’t Get You There ). What made you successful early in your finance career—technical accuracy, sharp analysis, flawless execution—won’t be what carries you to the next level.
You don’t want your office building to look like a stereotype. The dismal aesthetic of gray on gray is a thing of the past, and you’re ready to embrace the future. You’re searching for advice you can implement to give your space a modern look and feel — something different than what you’re used to. But it isn’t as simple as choosing a new color scheme.

I am very fortunate in that I get to read fabulous letters from executives touting the behavior changes they see in their executive or administrative assistants after attending our Star Achievement Series® course. I love reading these letters as 1) I see the training we provided truly worked, but more importantly, 2) I learn what executives appreciate—what executives look for in an assistant—and what executives value and observe.

The most overlooked, yet most critical, element of transformation is preparing people for change. Automation and AI aren't just technical upgrades, they’re cultural shifts which can challenge identities. That’s why change management isn’t a side project—it’s the foundation. In finance, where precision and process rule, navigating change can feel especially disruptive.

In an eye-opening talk, Harvard Business School professor Frances Frei gives a crash course in trust: how to build it, maintain it and rebuild it -- something she worked on during a recent stint at Uber. "If we can learn to trust one another more, we can have unprecedented human progress," Frei says.
