We expected a fantastic meal but we were surprised at just how beautiful the restaurant was and how spectacular the view. This stunning restaurant has a variety of spaces for dinner and would be perfect for an intimate meal, a work celebration or a large client dinner. Only one of us managed a desert. But we were the fuller for it.

the serve is excellent and there is plenty of amenities to keep you occupied – including a spa, fitness centre, two restaurants, outside patio, Starbucks Coffee and lots of conference and meeting space for those organising events in the city. The hotel itself is a little dated but it is clean and comfortable.

The Mansion does have a restaurant on site called Circa 1886. Prior to leaving for my dinner reservation I did sample a glass of red wine and a few of the hors d’oeuvres. After a thoroughly decent night sleep I made my way to breakfast which was served in the restaurant, located in the mansion’s garden.

Walking into the Lobby Bar at One Aldwych will always evoke some powerful memories but yet I have never stayed in the hotel or eaten in one of the restaurants. So when I was invited to sample the food and one of the rooms I must say I was excited. The excellent service I had so far continued with the restaurant staff.

I literally live 2 minutes away from the restaurants, so I just walk there.

We sampled the afternoon tea and evening canapés as well as breakfast. From ashtrays to pens, to the grand ballroom to the restaurants, attention to detail is clear. Room service is available 24hours. None of it disappointed. Why book this for your Executive? Any stay at the Langham is likely to be perfect.

The hotel gave me and my husband a warm welcome, a short tour of the main parts of the hotel we’d need – spa, restaurant, bar – and were shown to our room. Your executive can dine formally in the main restaurant, or choose to eat in the more informal conservatory or on the terrace. But that was soon to fade. Top marks for relaxation.

We went on the first big family trip we’ve had without extended family as we traveled to San Diego. It took much longer than anticipated.
