I also organise his business travel. Since my boss travels a lot, I take care of his travel expenses and supplier invoices. Then, I regularly review all the minutes from the meetings he attends and look if there are any to-dos for him. Around the corner from our office in Frankfurt we have a wonderful burger restaurant.

Here’s our review: Eight Executive Essentials. Welcome to The Wellesley. It was spectacular. It is certainly a large slice of luxury. Super fast.

Luckily my hotel, The Colonnade, probably noticing all of the left over Subway wrappers invited me to sample the menu at their in-house restaurant, Brasserie Jo. for the first time, in a French restaurant in Boston. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pretty relaxed. So far, not so good. No wonder he looked so happy.

If you are ever in the area I can’t stress this too strongly: you must head up those stairs to the Florentine because failure to do so would be to miss out on what must be one of the finest Italian restaurants in Chicago. Next in the fulcrum of a fine Italian restaurant is the wine. Not ordering a fish starter at Florentine.

This is a five star, “Double Eagle”, 1lb slice of cake type of restaurant. This is a wonderful looking restaurant full of deep sunken black leather chairs and sofas and Boston inspired artwork. The restaurant has the most welcoming of atmospheres. There are amazing Stakehouses and then there is Del Frisco’s.

The foyer, the salon bar and the restaurants are beautiful. We had a choice and this review was written from the Salon bar and not the room. I felt that the food could have been a bit flashier (you do tend to expect that in a five star hotel restaurant) but that would have probably only raised the price and not the quality.

Walking into the Lobby Bar at One Aldwych will always evoke some powerful memories but yet I have never stayed in the hotel or eaten in one of the restaurants. Tucked away in the lower levelsof the hotel, Axis at One Aldwych is a striking restaurant. The excellent service I had so far continued with the restaurant staff.

Through a partnership with Cave B winery, these tumblers are created from reclaimed Bordeaux bottles collected from the organic restaurant, B&B and tasting room on the Cave B estate. I was given these products to test and review free of charge.

During the 10 minutes I had to wait for my room I was able to rest my travel weary body on one of the comfortable sofas next to the open fire in the lobby area. The hotel is right in the centre of the Gold Coast which means that the city’s best restaurants are a short walk away (not to mention the most amazing shops).

I love a bit of history, so when asked to visit for this review, I was happy to oblige. The hotel gave me and my husband a warm welcome, a short tour of the main parts of the hotel we’d need – spa, restaurant, bar – and were shown to our room. But that was soon to fade. Top marks for relaxation.
