I always synch all of my files from my main Mac computer in my home office to Dropbox so that I am sure to have all of them handy while on the road by using the app on my phone and tablet. I have a data package on my phone and tablet so I can work from anywhere regardless of Wifi. Use a good task tool.

I keep my email inbox empty and I never answer the phone unless I''m expecting a call. If I''m supposed to be on the phone with Jack at 2p, and he doesn''t call by 210p, I send a note to see about rescheduling, then I move on. Even if Jack calls three minutes later, I don''t answer the phone. Then stop screwing with it.

I find that it is easier to work in an office. I converted a room in our home that acts as an office - desk, file cabinets, computer, adding machine, stapler - the whole 9 yards.
