A good assistant knows just where to find the document or file needed, or they won’t stop looking till they do. If the computer doesn’t do what we want -- trick it, it is amazing what we can do if we put our minds to it. As long as the end product looks good, at times we have to be creative to get there.
When I look at them however, I see someone who really knows their job and I know they could do it if only they would forget about what they can’t do and concentrate on what they can do. The next time a new challenge or opportunity comes up at work, pay attention to what you tell yourself -- are you being positive or negative?
Do you feel that they are overbearing and don’t know when to keep their opinions to themselves? At times, I would think to myself, “If I could only talk to them.&# Don’t allow yourself to become them. Remember that you want to be the bigger person and don’t sink to their level.
