My first office didn’t have a copy machine or a fax or anything like that. And if you look at it on a task level, then you can tap into people, full time people, of course, part time people. Internal or external. Actually, I wish I had more, but I’ve got a little gray hair. They didn’t exist.

Of course, the inverse also works. The key to quick transitions, I’ve found, is to keep local copies of all emails. I route my email accounts through Outlook so there are hard copies of everything just in case. I even do this with my Gmail accounts.
