Calendar management can be tough. There are endless variables that go into successful calendar management. Oh yes, we have all been there!
- How to Use Both For Optimal Professional & Personal Productivity (guest post by Meggin McIntosh) A question that often comes up in workshops as well as on my blog is this one: How do you suggest people use their calendar (planner) in conjunction with the tickler (1-31) files? What are your thoughts in this area?
How to deal with it: If you keep your bosses calendar, you can ask him ahead of time if he needs anything in particular for the meeting or if you know the agenda you can suggest information your boss can take to the meeting and have it prepared.
When I state them in a workshop or keynote I see heads nodding around the room. Don’t be fooled by the calendar. I find that every time I share the quotes to the right on Facebook or Twitter they get shared and re-shared. Why it that people relate to those statements so much that they share them consistently?
Other expenses are minimal, including some seminars and workshops I want to attend, additional fees I incur from travel journalism on media trips, subscriptions to publications and other freelancer tools. I pay an accountant I love and have worked with a few coaches I also love, all of whom are worth the investment. Morning 9 a.m.:
I hear it from my clients and workshop participants as well as my connections on social media sights. Utilize your calendar to schedule tasks. Sit down at your calendar and block out the time for your tasks. If you need to write/send your holiday cards then look at your calendar and schedule it in.
I take my best content and turn it into workshops and allow people to play with and I hope learn from the ideas. Blog posts and articles can turn into: ebooks, presentations, calendar/tip-of-the-day.
