For me, seasonal overwhelm is a combination of my granddaughter’s soccer practices and games, seasonal activities like apple picking and pumpkin carving parties, increased client projects, and trying to plan for the fast-approaching holiday season. Plus, the end of the fiscal year coincides with the holiday season.

I’ve met a few people over the years that have constantly progressed in their lives, either by getting promotion after promotion in their career or by following those traditional paths in life (university, job, house, marriage, kids etc). For me this was a personal rut and for him a professional one. Look over your shoulder .

If you can prove yourself as a good worker you can go up through the ranks and because they already know how you work, they are more apt to promote you. If a more experienced assistant comes alongside you and provides mentoring - dont refuse it. I finally had a chance to sit down and read your book over the holiday.

It sounds like things are going swimmingly with your productivity and work performance. It says a lot when your boss wants to grow you within the company and promote you. I would also volunteer at work and socialize with my co-workers during the holiday gift wrapping parties. I mentored other younger assistants.
