There are some companies that, unfortunately, don’t allow for purchases such as stationary , fax machines , toner , etc. Do you feel that you could find better buys, not just by going to the different stores such as Staples or Grand & Toy , but online as well? Since I work for a large corporation, this is my case as well.

Then I have my faxes set up as green. For example, I receive an e-mail from my direct supervisor. This will show up in red, since I know I have to get to this one first, before I can even touch any other one. I know that this would be next, since people depend on these quite a bit around my office.

" One of the most productive ways to update information on files is to either create or move a file into a shared folder on your companys network drive. Another option is to create templates in Microsoft Office and either e-mail them to everyone or place them on a network drive for everyone to access. This way, everyone will have to follow the exact same details as are set out. This way, everyone will be using the exact same documents , spreadsheet , etc. so that they dont get changed.

This happens to office workers all of the time. It even happened to me a few times, where people would create files themselves, then send it around to others to review and make changes, but never save it on the network drive. Then a new person comes in, taking over the work and wonders why they cant find the old file.

Fax Blasts I remember someone from my IAAP Chapter asked me to fax the notice of our Chapter dinner to a list of about 60 companies to promote it. I dont know about you, but when I get these "flyer" type faxes, they go immediately in the recycle bin.
