Don’t forget to check out the Frictionless Freelancing ebook , also offered by the man behind these capture cards, Aaron Mahnke. It syncs via Bluetooth and with my tiny fingers the keyboard actually works rather well (again, I’m using one of the original designs ). This is my email app of choice , and it’s cross-platform.

Although it’s been more than 7 months since I’ve published it, I still get a few re-tweets per week and a decent number of monthly thank you emails. After I finish, I send the generated mind map as an email attachment. For that, I’m using Quicksilver, the MacJournal shortcut and self-addressed emails. That’s all.

If I want to sit down and write a scene for my novel or a blog post or a new chapter of my ebook, then it flows easily. Griffin – Drool and keyboards don’t mix. You bashed monsters for hours.

I love the way the keyboard works on the device and it really speeds everything up for me on an OS that I''m still getting acquainted with right now. This is my email client of choice ,regardless of platform. It is action-oriented, meaning it gets my emails to where they need to be and gets me out of my inbox a hell of a lot faster.

Now, when I say ‘don’t write’, I don’t mean you should take a break or get away from the keyboard for a day. I’m a pretty fast typist but it made me realise how unnatural it is to use a keyboard, or even a pen. That’s just common sense, and you should already be taking frequent breaks.

I wrote web copy and ebooks and taglines and fiction and all kinds of writerly stuff. I maximize those as much as I can, and when they strike, I get myself to a keyboard. I think it’s a good idea to step away from the keyboard and take a break. I couldn’t write. Well, that’s not entirely true. I could write.

I don’t know who wrote them and why they thought they had the right to sit before a keyboard and litter the Web with, um, substandard writing. So it’s a good exercise, although a bit painful.

I firmly believe in charging for quality content; for me, ebooks and followup series work great. In today’s time-hungry market, offering ways to accomplish things faster (ie, ebooks of less than 60 pages compared to ebooks of 200+ ebooks – faster reading) is also of value as well. Real is the future.
