As an administrativeprofessional, you need to be productive and organized wherever you go. Enter your habits, tasks, and hobbies into a to-do list app such as SuperNote , Wunderlist or Timeful. Timeful will suggest the optimal time to complete them. I use the TimeZone Converter by TimeAndDate.
Referencing the wrong timezone is something almost everyone does. For most people, using the wrong timezone or misunderstanding Daylight Saving Time (DST) just results in running an hour early or late. Do you know that Hawaii and most of Arizona doesn’t observe Daylight Saving Time?

Another time I wanted to try a career in the travel business. I am sure I could have done well as I have learned nearly everything there is to know about getting someone from point A to point B. Depending on how acronym happy your office is, it can be like learning a new language. I suppose we better get used to it as it seems to be a trend and start to learn the language of acronyms and initialisms. Just when I think I am starting to understand my new offices language they throw in a new one that I have never heard of before.

If you are a new hire, take the time to learn and ask questions. A colleague and I were discussing this very thing as we have seen it time and time again with new hires trying to succeed and who end up making some avoidable mistakes by jumping in too quickly and making decisions before having enough information.
I did do research however and read as many articles and books on the subject that I could and then I tackled the article and actually learned something while doing it. I have been on some interactive sites where assistants ask questions and get answers and I learn from them as I have some of the same questions. Lunch n learns are also a good way to learn from each other. Administrative newsletters or bulletin boards where you can post tips or suggestions is a good way to learn.
I know the newness of it all will be gone soon and it will just be a normal thing that he is a little walker, but for now it is cute to see him learn this new skill.
