Don't be an assistant to a Director or Manager if at all possible. The very detailed, little tasks that assistants manage don't seem like much because 80% of the work is preparation, 10% of the work is while the event is happening, and 10% of the work occurs afterward. Be the bigger person and don't gossip! How do you do that?
