Stand up for yourself more Assertiveness was never my strong suit, especially when I was younger. I’ve discovered that assertiveness—without compromising kindness, respect or professionalism—is empowering. Besides the opportunity to buy some new school clothes and get a pair of new shoes, I absolutely loved learning.
