I lost my confidence. It all started in 2001 when I launched a service business based on just an idea. But the pain was fresh, and the daily struggle for money and confidence were keeping me stuck. The main reason I started my business in the first place (way back in November 2001) was so that I could have a flexible schedule – I had two young children at the time and needed to have a very flexible schedule that would allow me to be around for them, particularly during school holidays. And to also know that you are not alone.
A few years ago I realized that my personal productivity system, based on Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity by David Allen, was making me redo and second-guess planning over and over again on projects. This is, in large part or wholly, because of Getting Things Done having been published in 2001.
