Stand up for yourself more Assertiveness was never my strong suit, especially when I was younger. I’ve discovered that assertiveness—without compromising kindness, respect or professionalism—is empowering. We traveled, bought a Jet Ski, joined a volleyball league, threw parties and regularly met friends for dinner and drinks.
