7 Engaging Ways To Double Your Social Media Growth

Creating scroll-stopping content for social media can be a challenge, but it is an important aspect of building a successful online presence. With so much competition for people’s attention on social media, finding ways to make your content stand out and capture people’s attention is crucial.

Today’s blog will explore seven key strategies for creating scroll-stopping social media content to keep your followers engaged and coming back for more. Whether you are a small business owner, an entrepreneur, or a content creator, these tips will help you take your social media content to the next level.

Blog Overview:

Step 1: Use Visually Appealing Graphics and Images

Using visually appealing graphics and images is a powerful way to grab people’s attention on social media. High-quality and eye-catching graphics and images can help your content stand out in a crowded feed. It can also help convey your message more effectively. When selecting images and graphics for your social media content, it’s important to choose ones that are relevant to your message and that are visually appealing. This can include using images with vibrant colors, interesting compositions, or unique perspectives. It’s also a good idea to use high-resolution images that are properly sized for the platform you are using. By using visually appealing graphics and images, you can increase the chances that your content will stop people in their tracks and encourage them to engage with your brand.

Step 2: Use Engaging Headlines

An engaging headline is an important element of any social media post. It can be the first thing that people see when they come across your content. An interesting and compelling headline can stop people in their tracks and encourage them to click on your post to learn more. To create an engaging headline, it’s important to consider what your audience is interested in and what will grab their attention. This can include using strong action verbs, making a bold statement, or using numbers or lists to break up the text. It’s also a good idea to keep your headline short and to the point. By crafting an engaging headline, you can increase the chances that your content will be seen and click on by your followers.

Step 3: Video is the Front Runner

Including videos in your social media content can be a powerful way to capture people’s attention and drive engagement. Video content is highly engaging. It can be a great way to showcase your brand, product, or service in a visually appealing and informative way. It’s important to keep them short and to the point, as people are often scrolling quickly through their feeds and may not have a lot of time to watch long videos. It’s also a good idea to make sure your videos are high-quality and visually appealing. As this can help increase the chances that people will watch them and share them with their followers. You can also share relevant and interesting videos from other sources to help your content stand out and capture people’s attention on social media.

While Facebook connects you to all of your friends, Twitter allows you to share your thoughts in quick 280-character posts.

Step 4: Use Storytelling in Your Content

Using storytelling techniques in your social media content can be a powerful way to capture people’s attention and engage your audience. People love a good story. Incorporating storytelling elements into your social media content can help make it more interesting and memorable. You can try using elements like plot, character development, and conflict to craft a narrative that resonates with your audience. You can also use storytelling to highlight customer experiences or to showcase your brand’s values and mission. It can create a more personal and emotional connection with your audience and help your content stand out in a crowded feed.

Step 5: Use Interactive Elements

Using interactive elements in your social media content can effectively engage your audience and drive more interaction with your brand. Interactive elements can include things like polls, quizzes, challenges, and surveys. This encourages people to interact with your content in some way. These elements can be a great way to encourage people to share their opinions, participate in activities, or compete with their friends. This can help drive more engagement and exposure for your brand. When using interactive elements in your social media content, it’s important to make sure that they are relevant to your brand and audience and that they are easy to use. By using interactive elements, you can create a more interactive and engaging social media presence and help your content stand out in a crowded feed.

Step 6: The Power of User-Generated Content

Utilizing user-generated content (UGC) on social media can be a great way to create a sense of community and encourage more people to engage with your brand. UGC is any content that is created by your followers or customers, such as photos, videos, or written reviews. So, sharing this type of content on your social media channels can help create a sense of community and make your brand feel more relatable and authentic. It can also encourage more people to engage with your brand. They may feel more connected to it if they see content from others like them. When using UGC on social media, it’s important to ensure you have permission to use the content and give credit to the creator. Using user-generated content can create a more engaging and authentic social media presence. Thus, it will build a stronger connection with your audience.

Step 7: Keep it Timely and Relevant

Keeping your social media content timely and relevant is key to creating scroll-stopping content that will engage your audience. This means sharing content that is current and relevant to what is happening in the world or in your industry. Also, the content that resonates with your audience’s interests and needs. By staying up-to-date on the latest trends and events, you can create content that is more likely to capture people’s attention and drive engagement. It’s also important to consider your content’s timing. Post it when it is most likely to be seen and engaged with by your audience. Keeping your content timely and relevant can create a more engaging and valuable social media presence. This will build a stronger connection with your followers.

Action Steps for This Week:

  1. Sit down and plan out the next week of social media content for your most important channel. If you aren’t sure what is your most important channel, start with the one where you KNOW your ideal client hangs out. For this example, let’s say that you choose Instagram.
  2. Pick 7 topics that you can cover in 7 posts over the course of the next week. Here are some topics to consider if you’re drawing a blank:
    1. Personal Insight
    2. Behind the Scenes
    3. Your WHY (why you do what you do)
    4. About You
    5. Benefits (of working with you)
    6. Showcase a Product/Services
    7. Encouragement/Inspiration
  3. Write 1 post for each of these 7 topics. Make sure to include an engaging heading that is interesting and compelling and will stop people in their tracks and encourage them to click. So think storytelling here – everyone loves a good story. You want to stand out.
  4. Choose a visually appealing graphic or image for each post – and include at least 1 video of you in 1 of the posts.
  5. Use interactive elements on every post, whether you ask a question, create a poll, quiz, or challenge, something fun that will engage your audience.
  6. Once you have your 7 posts, schedule all of them with hashtags! Mix up the days and times of the week so you can see what times work best for your audience.
  7. Once your post goes live, spend 15 minutes each day interacting with your audience and people outside your audience (who would like to be part of your audience). Like their posts, leave engaging questions/comments, and be “social” on social media.
  8. At the end of the 7 days, analyze the results. Which posts worked the best? Write more posts like that for the next 7 days. If any posts fall flat, skip those this next round and try something new.
