I also always bring many copies of my resume, cover letter, and recommendations.

Whether based on your cover letter or resume, recruiters only take 6 seconds to see if you are match. The kicker was, since the event was international, there was a time zone difference. So it’s only around 2pm my time and I’m oddly not able to reach anyone at hotels.
