Being a guest expert provides you the opportunity to get in front of millions of people, share your message/mission, show them how you can solve a problem they might have, and build powerful relationships with the person hosting you.
Sadly, many don’t recognize the amazing opportunity they have when their appearance is over.
The more you help promote your appearance, the more the host is inspired to share too. The more action you take, the more likely you could help bump your appearance to the highest traffic the host has ever had. How cool would that extra exposure be? For both of you!
Speakers Magazine asked me to write a second article (woot!!) and share 7 actions you can take to make sure that you are leveraging every appearance for maximum visibility. See the media below for a complete copy of the magazine.⠀
Media Type: magazine article

By the way, this post is an example of how you can leverage an appearance on someone else’s platform and amplify the host. 😉

I couldn’t agree with you more. It’s a win-win-win when you promote your host, yourself and get your content in front of a bigger audience. I always grab the URL from the host’s blog post or podcast and set it up on an evergreen promotion schedule so it rotates on my social media platforms every month or so. There will also be new people how haven’t seen, read or heard your interview or article.

Hi Denise
Exactly! Thanks for sharing what you do. I have found that if you share evergreen content, the platforms you have been on can be shared for multiple years and still get traffic. It is a great way to leverage your time.

Very informative! Hadn’t thought about sharing after a speaking engagement, but it makes sense.

Hi Harriet –
Thanks for visiting! Absolutely! The more you can leverage the time you spend sharing your knowledge the better. I have found numerous other speaking opportunities by hosts finding something I shared.
